Oil, filters, belts, brake fluid and other work can have different schedules. Look up your vehicle's model, model year and engine in the owner's manual or official service schedule. Enter one task at a time, using the record of when that task was last completed. This calculator does not supply manufacturer recommendations or diagnose the vehicle.
What “whichever comes first” means
If a task is scheduled by both distance and time, reaching either limit is enough. A low-mileage vehicle can reach the time limit first; a frequently used vehicle can reach the odometer limit first. The result checks both against today's date and your entered current odometer. A past deadline is shown as due, not rolled forward as though a service happened.
Calendar months, not fixed blocks of days
The planner adds whole calendar months. If the target month has no matching day, it uses that month's last day: 31 January plus one month becomes 28 February, or 29 February in a leap year. Today is taken from this device's local date. Confirm any manufacturer-specific date rule in your manual.
Unknown history or changed odometer?
Do not guess a last-service date or reading to make a deadline look safe. Check invoices and the service book, or ask a qualified workshop to establish what needs doing. A replaced odometer needs a reconciled total; this planner rejects a current reading below the last-service reading. Warning lights, symptoms and safety concerns need attention independently of a routine schedule.
Severe use and special schedules
Your manual may give different instructions for severe use, storage, towing, dusty conditions or other situations. Select the applicable official interval before using the calculator. A simple repeating interval may not represent a first service, age-based replacement or a manufacturer schedule with different milestones.
Keep the evidence with the plan
After the work is completed, record its actual date, odometer, task and receipt in your vehicle maintenance log, then calculate again from that completed service. Saving this browser plan does not create a reminder or a service record. Browser data can be cleared, and it does not sync between devices; print a copy if you need one.
